It's Thursday! Time to join Like Mother Like Daughter for a meme.
My friend, Rachel, was in Arizona this week, and she sent me this photo. I love a labyrinth. Isn't this one beautiful? My favorite kind are made with stones. There's a beautiful stone lined labyrinth at the Gray Center here in Mississippi, and there are two right here in Tupelo as well.
I was feeling down one day this week. My sons were fighting. They bicker constantly and it was becoming overwhelming. I texted my sister and begged for some cute story or photo of Eliza and/or Tyrus. I needed a dose of happy. She sent this. There is my sweet niece, Eliza, singing at church with Mom and Wayne. Talk about a perfect smile. I have an awesome sister.
Usually, he ignores me when the kids are around, but he decided to love me again this week. While the boys and their friend, Alex, build dirt cities in the back yard, Hocus curled up behind my head for a nap. I have spent a lot of time sitting in that seat this week, because I am still embedded in the revision process. I love this process, honestly. I never thought I would. Here I am, ENJOYING constructive criticism. Who knew.
Today, I am trying to get some things finished. I woke up, made my coffee, and started working in the kitchen/school room. I have been scanning a bunch of my Papaw's old documents to send to family members. I intended to do so at the start of the summer and here it is the very last week. Oy! I also gleaned some books from the homeschool shelves. I cleaned expired coupons from my wallet (also about three years of insurance cards) and sorted papers that have taken over my desk. I have plenty more to get done before we start back to school on Monday. They summer included a lot of un-schooling, but it is time for a return to routine. We all need it pretty desperately.
Thanks for playing!
Don't forget, today is Thursday, so I have a poem up at Middle Places!
