Sunday Poem: I Heard You Calling Samuel

Twice this week
I've heard You calling
Samuel.
Is it any surprise
that between reading
the story once and
then hearing it again,
I found myself in need,
praying just to hear
Your voice,
wondering if You
were listening to me.
Is it any wonder
that the answer should come
in an unexpected way
just as I had given up
hope?
