Sunday Poem: Creation

God dreamed about Creation,
and then He moved His hands
and licked His lips
and made the world.

It started as a dream.
Every atom in the universe -
an idea.

First, God's idea,
then,
man's.
Einstein and Franklin and Edison
and you and me.

We were created
to create.
We were dreamt about
so we could dream.
We stepped out
of God's ideas
and stepped into
Creation.

And so we must continue
to create.

  1. This one of my favorite ones! :)

I'm a student in Mrs. Baer's class and I really enjoyed having you, we all agreed we wanted you to come back!
The poem you wrote about us, "Yellow Submarine" (I think) was funny, at least the way I interpreted it.

You inspired me to write a couple of my own poems, too!

  2. Thank you so much. I remember you, and I am glad you are writing. :) And, yes, Yellow Submarine was intended to draw a smile.
